We are urgently seeking a highly skilled Male Sole Chef for a prestigious 45m private motor yacht. This is a seasonal position with an excellent salary package (€€€€€) for the right chef to complete the season.
This privately run vessel has an experienced, professional crew and discerning owners who value high standards, discretion, and consistency. You will be the only chef on board, responsible for all culinary operations for both guests and crew.
Role Overview – What You’ll Be Working On
As Sole Chef you will independently manage the full F&B operation on board. You will plan and execute diverse, refined menus for owners and guests, while also delivering balanced, appealing crew meals. The role requires strong provisioning skills, strict cost and stock control, flawless galley hygiene, and the ability to perform under pressure during busy guest trips. You must already have proven sole chef experience on similar-sized vessels and be available to join immediately.

Who You Are
You are a confident, organised Sole Chef with strong yachting experience and a solid culinary foundation, ideally from high-end restaurants, luxury hotels, or private households. You are used to working alone in the galley, managing all aspects from provisioning to plating, and you thrive in a demanding environment where quality and consistency are non‑negotiable. You are immediately available, presentable, professional, and comfortable working in a mixed-gender crew while respecting the owners’ preference for a male chef in this role.

- Act as Sole Chef on board, fully responsible for all food preparation and service for owners, guests, and crew
- Plan, cost, and execute creative, seasonal menus tailored to guest preferences, dietary needs, and trip itineraries
- Prepare and present high-quality, consistent guest cuisine ranging from refined fine dining to family-style and casual options
- Cook varied, healthy, and satisfying meals for the crew, maintaining morale and energy levels throughout the season
- Manage all provisioning, including sourcing fresh ingredients, negotiating with suppliers, and adapting to local markets in different ports
- Maintain accurate stock control, inventories, and budget oversight, minimising waste while ensuring readiness for guest trips at all times
- Ensure the galley is kept immaculate, enforcing rigorous hygiene, food safety, storage, and cleaning procedures at all times
- Coordinate closely with the Captain, Chief Steward/ess, and other heads of department to align meal times, service style, and logistics
- Respond calmly and efficiently to last-minute changes, special requests, and high-pressure guest periods, maintaining a positive attitude
- Represent both the yacht and mymuybueno professionally at all times, upholding high standards of conduct, discretion, and teamwork
- Proven experience as a Sole Chef on private or charter motor yachts of approximately 40m–50m or larger
- Strong culinary background, ideally with fine dining, Michelin, luxury hotel, or high‑end restaurant and/or private household experience
- Immediate availability and readiness to join the yacht on short notice for the remainder of the season
- Valid STCW (updated), ENG1 (or equivalent seafarer medical), Food & Hygiene certification, and all standard yachting documents
- Confident in managing all provisioning, stock control, and budgeting independently, including sourcing high-quality local produce worldwide
- Ability to cater for diverse dietary requirements and preferences, including healthy, light, and special diets, with strong menu planning skills
- Demonstrable experience producing refined guest cuisine and varied, nutritious crew food from a compact galley under time pressure
- Excellent organisational skills, cleanliness, and strict adherence to food safety, HACCP principles, and galley hygiene standards
- Professional, discreet, and well-presented, with strong communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously within an international crew
- Male candidate, as requested by the owner, and eligible to work and travel within the yacht’s cruising areas
